Eye of Illumination, Goddess Aesthetics, Transcendence Massage & Yoga, Illusionary Glass; there’s so many, where did you begin? This is a question that we hear often here because we have many under one roof. In the about us page, we’ve written about our various professional highlights to give people a brief look at where we’ve been. Today, I’d like to give you a better-detailed picture of the way that we have shaped our future to be over the years together and give the origin of Eye of Illumination: There and Back Again.

The Origin of Eye of Illumination: Where Was There?

We started two very different people in two very different parts of the country. I was born in New Jersey 9 years after Jeserae was born in Alaska. Eventually, I moved through several states until I found myself in Fairbanks, Alaska in 2010. Jeserae was already a business owner of Illusionary Glass in Wasilla, Alaska and going to Alaska Career College for Massage Therapy when I found him online in 2011. I moved down from Fairbanks later that year and we began talking about our future goals. I was already making Photoshop murals in Photoshop while Jeserae had Illusionary Glass and Transcendence Massage & Yoga in its infancy. Jeserae believed that my murals were good enough to make money which I originally declined posting. Eye of Illumination Designs is the product of his persistence which eventually won me over in more ways than one.

Many of those posts, now are really in storage. I have brought a few back, I am going to be putting together a new autism section together based on my diagnosis, along with re-structuring the health/wellness side. Jeserae and I originally ran the blog the last year we were in Alaska. Then, it was like every sign you could get to move to a different location pretty much hit all at once and everything lined up just like the movies. We went across the world on a journey to build ourselves better, resurrecting our old blog in 2019.

THE ORIGIN OF EYE OF ILLUMINATION: AROUND THE WORLD WE GO

So far we have been in Amsterdam, Paris, Lyon, Switzerland (on a train), Italy, Budapest, Bangkok, Chang Mai, Kuala Lumpur, Georgetown (Malaysia), Batu Ferringhi, Langkawi, Bali, Galgibaga, and Seim Reip. That is a lot of cities in one trip. Our original plan was to get our CIDESCO Certifications so that we could do our jobs internationally. Fortunately, even though that didn’t work out as planned, we received our Tantric Yoga certifications from Shri Kali Ashram and made some amazing friends while there.

THE ORIGIN OF EYE OF ILLUMINATION: PORTLAND ON APRIL FOOLS DAY

April Fools Day has always been for playing jokes and having fun. In the full spirit of the holiday, Jeserae booked our tickets to come home. We settled in NE Portland while I went to school at Aesthetic’s Institute and moved to Beaverton/Hillsboro in 2016. We got our Reiki Master’s in 2017 and Jeserae started working at a different job.

THE ORIGIN OF EYE OF ILLUMINATION: THE STOREFRONT’S MISSING

Many people are a little taken aback by our use of our home as our base of services through our *spa side and that we have the glassblowing in the garage. It is amazingly freeing to do what I do from my home. I am a very, very, very lucky person that my significant other balances corporate work with our businesses so that I can continue to mold my life around what is medically best for me. That is literally what Eye of Illumination’s goal in what we try to give our clients, the privacy for them to come in and feel relaxed in the knowing that everything is going to be customized for their wellbeing. I am working hard with Jeserae to design the next step in our journey with you as clients and for us as owners.

The Origin of Eye of Illumination: The Next Chapter in Our Story

Notice the heading and note that I said our story. Jeserae and I have started Eye of Illumination. We have put in countless hours, dollars, and turned our home into a business but, what makes our business thrive is you. Our next step is to launch Transcendence School of the Healing Arts. This is going to require a much bigger building both for living, working, and teaching. We will be hopefully moving into a larger space this year that suits our needs.
